We offer a wide variety of classes to help people live healthier, vibrant and God-honoring lives. Classes rotate throughout the course of the year and new topics are developed and offered on a regular basis. See below to learn more about each individual class currently being offered and to register.

MIDWEEK | Breast Cancer Support Group

When: Wednesdays beginning September 15, 6:30p

Join us to share stories, hopes and fears about our breast cancer experience. Meetings include information and discussion about treatment options.

MIDWEEK | Clean Ministry

When: Wednesdays beginning September 15, 6:30p

Description:
Clean Ministry is designed for every husband, father, brother, son or Christian leader who wants to pursue God’s plan for their sexual purity. This is an eight-week guided journey through Clean: a Proven Plan for Men Committed to Sexual Integrity by Douglas Weiss, Ph.D.  This is a Christ-centered, confidential, safe and transparent context where men can have honest, shame-free, conversations while developing new disciplines for success and freedom.

MIDWEEK | Goliath Must Fall Small Group Study

When: Wednesdays beginning October 6, 6:30p

Description:

It’s the most timeless underdog story in all of history: David versus Goliath. A shepherd boy that no one believed in looking up at a nine-foot giant that everyone believed was undefeatable. We all have a giant, that’s the bad news. Here’s the good news: we are not David. The story of David is not a story about us, it’s ultimately a story about Jesus: the one who has slain not just one giant, but every giant.

MIDWEEK | Grief Group

Description:
Grief group is a place for those who have experienced the loss of a close loved one, family member or spouse. This is a ten-week guided journey through the book Understanding Your Grief by Alan Wolfelt, Ph.D. facilitated in a group setting where everyone has the opportunity to process through their own grief experience. It is a safe and confidential setting that accommodates all people regardless of your faith journey.

Men’s Mentorship Program

Description:
The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:2

The Men’s Mentorship Program partners men of all ages and all walks of faith alongside of one another to mutually develop, encourage, and support one another in their respective faith journeys.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

Description:
Welcome to MOPS! We are thrilled to have you join us this year and we can’t wait to meet you and your kiddos! Get ready to have a year filled with fun, authentic friendships and a community that is sure to fill your cup. This year we will “walk in power”, “love one another” and “make love our legacy” as we refuse to go just “back to normal” but instead step into the life we have been blessed with.

MOPS Hearts will launch on Thursday, September 16.
MOPS Stars will launch on Thursday, September 23.

MIDWEEK | Parenting the Middle Years

When: Wednesdays, September 22 – October 20, 6:30-8p
Where: Worship at 6:30 in The Dixon Chapel, Class in Pavilion 2

Description:

Parenting The Middle Years (7-13yrs) provides parents  practical parenting strategies as you and your child prepare for the teen years. This five session parenting series will explore many issues and topics that parents find challenging including:

  • The nature of compliance to parental instruction
  • The power of communicating life giving words
  • Peer Identity versus Family Identity
  • Critical conversations – Sex, Drugs, and Hormones
  • Cyber parenting in the Digital Age
  • Transitioning from Parental Authority to Parental Influence
  • Awareness of “The Seven Warning Flags”

The classes are designed for husband and wife, but we welcome and encourage single parents, grandparents, caregivers and teachers to join us! Each week we will meet in person to review the video presentation and then have open discussion to address application and specific parenting issues. The cost is $45 per household and includes one workbook.

MIDWEEK | Parenting the Toddlerhood Transitions

When: Wednesdays, October 27 – November 17, 6:30-8p

Description:

Toddlerhood (18 months to about 3 or 4 years of age) is a period of amazing, spontaneous, engaging, yet challenging time for children and parents. This class provides practical and relevant concepts that parents can apply right away. Understanding the Toddlerhood Transition and having an intentional parenting strategy can put you on the right path in your parenting journey! This condensed class will explore many issues and topics that toddler parents find challenging including:

  • The “Why” of parenting
  • The importance of Structure & Routine
  • The Nature of Toddler Conflict & Obedience
  • Sending Right & Wrong Messages
  • Instruction, Encouragement & Correction

Precept Upon Precept Bible Study | Revelation Part 3: What Is the Sign of His Coming and of the End of the Age?

When: Tuesdays, September 14 – December 7, 9-11:30a

Description:

Explore the relationship of the book of Revelation to the Gospels—realize the prophecies and teachings they contain about the last days.

Precepts Bible Studies use the Inductive Bible Study Method. “Inductive” means we use the Bible as the primary source of study to learn about God and what the Bible teaches. These classes are designed to equip you with inductive study tools so you can discover truth for yourself. Each weeks’ lesson is divided into 5 days of homework. Each day could take 30–60 minutes, depending on your available time. In a class ranging from 30-50 adults, we will discuss the lesson for 1–1.5 hours and then watch a video teaching from one of the Precept Ministries teachers. Join us for a rewarding method of study with a wide range of cross-generational and class participant experience. Join us for the third part of this fascinating study.  Even if you have not completed Part 1 and 2 of the Revelation course, you may still join in as we will spend the first three weeks reviewing the content of Part 2.

MIDWEEK | Re|Engage

Description:
Would you rate your marriage as a 2 or a 10? Wherever you fall in that spectrum, you are not alone. Whether your marriage needs to be enriched, you need connection or is in need of a complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for married couples to connect in community. re|engage examines God’s design for marriage and applies biblical principles to help married couples move toward oneness. re|engage offers hope and encouragement to marriages through stories of grace, teaching and small groups.

MIDWEEK | Re:Generation

When: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:15p

Description:
We all experience brokenness in life.  At re:generation, we believe that anyone can experience new life and freedom by working through steps of healing given to us by God through the Bible. Re:generation is 12-step discipleship through recovery. By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, eating disorders, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, same sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts and many other personal struggles. Re:generation is a safe place for anyone to honestly process questions and doubts. Our prayer is that you will find the same peace that we have found.

God loves you. He wants to heal you and has a plan for you.

Explore why you should get back into studying Scripture and why you need community post-COVID. Join Dr. Scott Wenig, a Professor of Applied Theology at Denver Seminary and long-time friend of Cherry Hills and frequent teacher in many of our Bible studies and classes.

Description:

Session 1: Back to School:  Faith Lessons We’ve Forgotten, Teacher – Sara Bolthouse

Fall means students back in school and teachers “refreshing” their students’ minds on everything from multiplication facts to grammar conventions.  Most of us haven’t needed back-to-school supplies in years, but that doesn’t mean that we are immune from forgetting some of the basic lessons of faith.  Refresh your memory and revive your soul with this five-week study that will kick off a year of spiritual learning and growth.
