Jesus commands us to be baptized as a step of obedience and a public declaration of our decision to follow Him. Baptism shows others that you have been made brand new. It represents your old sinful life being washed clean because of your faith in Jesus. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, baptism is one of the most meaningful next steps you can take.
“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” – Acts 22:16
We were created to be in relationship with others, but in a big church, it can be difficult to know where to start. At Cherry Hills, we feel Section Communities are a great way for you to start connecting with others and begin experiencing life and fulfilling community together. Section Communities sit together during service times every week, have meals together after service once a month, and do various activities together throughout the month as well.
When you experience something as great as God’s love, you will want to share it with those around you! What we receive must be given away. In the same way a body is dependent upon the arm, so the body of believers is dependent upon you. God has given of each us spiritual gifts in order to build up the church and to see lives and eternities changed. We would love to help you find what area of serving is best for you.
