Manna Connect is an opportunity to empower individuals and families towards self-sufficiency and strength through providing community, coaching, and career development to those in need. And you can play a part.
How To Get Involved.
The success of Manna Connect and its participants, or “Leaders,” depends on our church providing a community of encouragement, hope, and practical resources as they lead themselves out of poverty.
Manna Connect has been designed so that everyone in our church can play a vital role in eradicating homelessness in our community. See how you can play a part!
Transportation
Would you like to help someone with their transportation needs? Help Leaders get where they need to go by donating a car, assisting in auto repairs, or providing a ride.
Housing
Do you have a spare room, a private rental, or a desire to invest in a housing opportunity for a family in need? Provide a stable place for Leaders to live as they journey towards self-sufficiency.
Employment
Is your company looking for reliable, dedicated and trained employees?
Relational Support
Do you have the time to engage in authentic and encouraging relationships with Leaders in the Manna Connect program? Walk alongside Leaders and become an Ally.
Food Market
Do you have time to help under-resourced families receive material needs? Volunteer at Manna Care to see our food resource in action.
Transportation
Would you like to help someone with their transportation needs? Help Leaders get where they need to go by donating a car, assisting in auto repairs, or providing a ride.
Donate a Car
Instead of trading in or selling your used vehicle, consider donating it to one of our partners who will do the needed repairs and donate it to a family who does not currently have a reliable vehicle.
Auto Repair
Are you an auto mechanic or work for an auto repair company? Consider partnering with us to provide free or low-cost repairs to Leaders in the program.
Housing
Do you have a spare room, a private rental, or a desire to invest in a housing opportunity for a family in need? Provide a stable place for Leaders to live as they journey towards self-sufficiency.
Share Your Home
Homeowners rent out a spare bedroom, basement apartment at an affordable rate which allows for the stability and affordability needed for home-seekers to work toward self-sufficiency.
Private Rental
Consider using your existing rental property to help a Leader with affordable monthly rent while they are participating in the Manna Connect program.
Kingdom Investment
Consider purchasing a rental to be used by Leaders in order to help a family with affordable rent while they are pursuing self-sufficiency.
Through the Manna Connect Career Program, Leaders build the skills needed for a sustainable wage through intensive career development and educational opportunities in desired fields of employment.
Consider employing a Manna Connect Leader to become an integral member of your team!
Career Development
Would you be willing to offer your skills to a Leader in the program? Walk alongside Leaders as they prepare to launch their new career.
Do you have experience with writing resumes or interviewing applicants?
Have you used your skills and knowledge by tutoring others?
Consider volunteering to help Leaders in the Manna Connect Career Program as they prepare to launch their new careers!
Relational Support
Do you have the time to engage in authentic and encouraging relationships with Leaders in the Manna Connect program? Walk alongside Leaders and become an Ally.
Become an Ally and walk alongside Leaders to support and encourage them on their journey, while learning valuable skills together at the monthly Community Gatherings. These Gatherings create a family environment as a meal is shared and each person is committed to authentic, counter-cultural relationships.
Food Market
Do you have time to help under-resourced families receive material needs? Volunteer at Manna Care to see our food resource in action.
Join us on a Tuesday to help Manna Guests receive food. Volunteer roles include sorting and stocking food, picking up donations from local stores, assisting guests through the shopping experience, or assessing additional needs as a Manna Care Team member. Volunteers of all ages are welcome!
