The Bible is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. It’s God’s Word specifically to know Him and guide us through life.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
When you love someone, you know a lot about that person. The same is true of your relationship with God. Knowing who God is and all that God has done for you is monumental in increasing your intimacy with Jesus.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2
God has called us to express our love to Him in our worship. God doesn’t need anything but deserves everything. For us music is not for us but it’s for Him. You cannot experience the love of God as a disciple and not express that love back to him.
“…fall down in front of the one who is sitting on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever. They throw down their crowns in front of the throne saying, ‘O Lord our God, you deserve to receive glory and honor and power…’”
Prayer is communicating with God, and there’s nothing more powerful than abiding with God in prayer.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6
God has blessed us not to increase our standard of living but rather our standard of giving. When we give our time, talents, and treasures, you’ll begin to experience His trustworthiness.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” – Malachi 3:10
The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God and He will bless it. We return to the Lord 10% of what He’s given to us because everything already belongs to him. Click below to practicing a life of generosity and begin tithing.
When the church first launched in the first century, the first thing the believers did was gather, which is exactly what “church” literally means. They understood the importance of being known and making others known. Getting involved in a Christian community is how you move from surviving in your faith to thriving in your faith.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:24-25
