Wes Wilson

Grace Place Director
Wes and his family followed God's prompting to join the Cherry Hills staff in December of 2016. He has worked in Next Gen ministries for 16 years in Oklahoma City and Chicago. He loves fishing, camping, college football, burritos and most of all his wife, Alexandra and their 3 daughters, Wynter, Lolly, and Everleigh. Wes has a strong desire for kids of all ages to begin and grow a faith that sticks for the rest of their lives.

Will Larsen

Grace Place Associate Director
Will moved to Denver and joined the Cherry Hills Community Church staff in October of 2015 with his wife Kirstin and three kids: Gracie Belle, Liam and Weston. They moved from a church in the Chicagoland area where Will was on staff, leading a volunteer team of 120 small group leaders for almost 7 years. Will and his wife have served together in kids ministry for years and have a passion for bringing the hope of Jesus to other families, both churched, and unchurched and felt so strongly that God was calling them to make a cross country move to Cherry Hills Community Church.

Amy Guthrie

Early Childhood Director
Amy comes with 12 years’ experience as a Children’s Pastor at a church in the Denver Metro Area. Before working in children’s ministry she was a teacher in Westminster, CO. Amy joined the Cherry Hills Community Church staff in August of 2016. Amy is married to Tim who is a paramedic with the Westminster Fire Department. They have a son, Jacob who is in first grade. Amy put her faith in Jesus at a young age and has a deep desire to teach even the youngest of kids the love of Jesus.

Jeremy Stephens

Birth and Toddler Coordinator
Jeremy came to Denver having served on staff at several large churches in the southeast U.S., as well as working in education and counseling in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He felt the pull to leave his hometown with his wife and 2-year-old daughter in February of 2016, and has been blessed to see God use all his past experiences in this current role. Jeremy and his wife, Sarah have had many experiences serving the Church together, and are so excited to continue having new experiences together (along with their daughter Lily Cate) in ministry during this awesome season.

Trent Minor

Upper Elementary Director
Trent moved to Denver and joined the Cherry Hills Community Church Staff in September of 2016 with his wife Leslie-Anne. They moved from the Bay Area in Northern California where he worked at church in Concord, California as the Student Ministries Pastor. Trent loves to lead the next generation into a transformational relationship with Jesus Christ and show them how valued they are by God. He loves to spend time with his wife in the outdoors of Colorado, loves movies and acting, and loves his sports teams, especially his World Series Champions Chicago Cubs!

Lindsey Bush

Upper Elementary Coordinator
Lindsey has always had a passion for working with kids. She began her career as an elementary teacher and later felt God call her into full time kids ministry. She served as Children’s Pastor at a church in her hometown of Lima, Ohio, for over five years leading a dynamic kids ministry team with hundreds of kids and volunteers. Lindsey moved to Denver and joined the Cherry Hills Community Church staff in August of 2015 with her husband Jamin, who also serves on staff at Cherry Hills. Lindsey and Jamin love serving God together, adventuring the beautiful state of Colorado, and visiting Disneyworld!

Stephanie Jeffords

Lower Elementary Director
Stephanie has enjoyed serving with children and students for over 25 years. Her roles include Children's Choir Director, Music Teacher for Grades 1-12, and Kids Worship Leader. Stephanie joined the Grace Place staff in 2011, excited to pursue her passion for sharing God's Word with children on a full-time basis. Stephanie and her husband, Rod (Instrumental Director at Cherry Hills Community Church), have had the privilege of serving the body of Christ throughout their marriage of 30 years. They have two children, Chelsea and Jack.

Matthew McDermott

Lower Elementary Coordinator
Matt joined the Grace Place Team in March of 2016. Before that he served as a children’s ministry leader for three years, helping organize and run the volunteer teams overseeing the 4th and 5th Grades. Matt comes from a teaching background. Before God calling him into ministry, he spent three years working in elementary school, teaching in a variety of areas from fifth grade to kindergarten. Matt, and his wife Rachael, moved here from Illinois. They both love the outdoors and were very excited to move to Colorado and life neighboring the Rockies. Matt is passionate about the power that small groups can have on children and adults. He wishes to see every child in Grace Place find a place where they are known and loved as a child of God.

Julia Schmidt

Midweek Kids Coordinator
Julia comes to us with 12 years coordinating experience which included young adult ministry as well as wedding coordination at another local EPC church. She also works part-time at Children’s Hospital as a patient care coordinator. Julia, her husband Jeff, and their children, Jocelyn, Jillian and Jenavieve, were called to Cherry Hills Community Church several years ago. Originally from Canon City, CO, Julia moved to Denver after a tour in North Carolina as an activity duty Marine. Julia earned a Master’s degree from Denver Seminary in 2006 and joined our staff July 2016. Julia loves serving the Church and is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus to others.

Iva Aichinger

Bible Blast and Bible Biz Coordinator
Iva is a Colorado native. She was a stay at home mom while she raised her children and volunteered in the church and public school. She gained her experience with Bible Study Fellowship where she was the Class Administrator for five years and the Children’s Director for twelve years with class of 500 women and 300 children. Iva and her husband joined Cherry Hills Community Church in 1988 after returning from Europe. Iva volunteered in Children’s Ministry in the summer and taught Sunday School to elementary students until 1996 when she accepted a job as Coordinator for Elementary teachers and students. Her greatest joy is to watch gifted volunteers surrounded by kids learning God word.

Jocelyn Vogel

Grace Place Administrative Assistant
Jocelyn has worked in the church for over 9 years within an administrative and event coordinating roles. She moved to the Denver area from the Chicago suburbs in August 2015 with her family. She joined the Cherry Hills Community Church staff in January 2016. Her husband, Don, and children Brianna and Eli, have enjoyed being a part of Cherry Hills Community Church and loved that they have been called to do ministry with Grace Place. Jocelyn enjoys hiking new trails, kayaking and being outdoors with her family and friends.
