Leadership

Shane Farmer, Senior Pastor
On October 20, 2013 we celebrated as Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Jim Dixon passed the mantle of leadership to Shane Farmer. “We always talked about living in Colorado and raising our family here,” said Shane
who was a frequent tourist to the state for skiing and mountain climbing during the past decade. When he was contacted about the position at Cherry Hills, Farmer said he and Wendy felt this had been part of God’s plan in their lives all along.

"Shane is a gifted leader. He has the talent, vision and collaborative nature necessary to lead Cherry Hills Community Church into the next 20 years of ministry." - From Letter from the Elders to the Congregation.

Weekends

Community starts here.
We want you to feel a sense of home when you’re here, whether as a first-time guest or long-time member. Cherry Hills is a place where the doors are always open, inviting you in to be part of a warm community. We are ready to meet you right where you are, so welcome!

We hold worship services on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9 and 11 a.m. in the Worship Center. Each week you can expect to experience heart-felt worship through music, sound Biblical-teaching for today, and a welcoming community to encourage you.

Classes for infants through grade 8 are offered during all service times.

Beliefs

The Essentials of Our Faith
These core beliefs are the foundation of Cherry Hills Community Church. We hold these as unchanging precepts of God revealed to us in the Bible.

We embrace the whole Word of God, yet we recognize that there may be different interpretations and applications of the teaching of Scripture. In light of this, we make a distinction between essentials and non-essentials. We respect varying points of view, provided the essentials are not compromised.

All Scripture is self-attesting and being Truth, requires our unreserved submission in all areas of life.

We believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh through his miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and his virgin birth. He who is true God became true man united in one person forever. He died on the cross, arose bodily from the dead, he ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, he now is our High Priest and Mediator.

The Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to our hearts.

To define and defend our faith requires that we speak the truth, but speak it in love to fulfill these words of Christ: "by this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35 NSRV)
